Known for his sharp political satire and sociopolitical commentary, Bill Mahr is the host of Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO. Mahr rose to fame as the host of Politically Incorrect, which made its debut on Comedy Central and was later picked up by ABC. His contract with ABC was not renewed after he made a controversial on-air remark shortly after 9/11 that the terrorists were not cowards. Maher's comedic documentary, Religulous, a satire of organized religion, was released in 2009.
