On the House
by Mike Daily, Forrest Armstrong & Jase Daniels

"On the House" is a collaboration between Mike Daily, Forrest Armstrong and Jase Daniels. The track was recorded by Daily (poem) and Armstrong (beats) in March 2010 in Portland, Oregon, then sent to Daniels (production) in England. Alternative Reel is publishing "On the House" for the first time.

ON THE HOUSE

when something breaks

    (on the house)

or requires repair

    (on the house)

who usually fixes it?

    (on the house)

she does.

I say: "when's the coffee

maker gonna get fixed?"

she says: "I don't know."

I say: "I'm wasting money

always stopping for coffee."

she says: "I know."

I say: "I didn't waste any

money today, though."

"what do you mean?"

she says. "you got one--"

"--on the house," I say.

"I got one on the house.

the girl gave this to me and

said it was on the house."

she wonders, why?

I pause, for effect.

I say: "let's just say I

was in the right place at

the right time."

she says: "somebody

didn't pick up their

coffee?"

I say: "let's just say I

was in the right place at

the right time."

she says: "somebody

didn't pick up their

coffee."
